This dwarf galaxy is a very good example of type Im. The inner section shows considerable resolution into individual stars.

DDO 155 is very nearby and was once thought to be a member of the Local Group. Tolstoy et al. (1995) used variable stars to determine a distance of only 2.2 Mpc.
