De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The bright ring in the center of this galaxy is actually more an analog of a nuclear ring in a barred galaxy than an inner ring . Nevertheless, we recognize it with the (r) classification as in NGC 7217 . Outside this small ring is a bright zone of tightly wrapped spiral structure which is also ringlike. The zone could be interpreted in terms of one or two arms. Outside this zone, and barely visible in the atlas image, is an exceedingly faint, ~16 kpc diameter outer ring whose major axis coincides with the other features (inset).
