De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The morphology of this galaxy is dominated by a strong inner ring . No trace of a bar is found inside this ring, hence ESO 526-7 is a genuine example of an SA(r) type. The ring is blue in a color index map (Grouchy and Buta 2005), and the outer arms have very low surface brightness. There are at least four of these arms.
