De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The structure of this galaxy is unusual. In the inner regions, there appears to be a bar-like feature, but this feature suffers heavy extinction in places and appears distorted as a result. The B-V color index map, however, shows that the apparent bar is actually bluer than most of its surroundings, very atypical of an early-type galaxy. Surrounding the dusty zone, a bright and fairly well-defined, nearly circular inner pseudoring is found. In the B-V map, this feature shows some blue color enhancement, but on the whole it is redder than the apparent bar. Outside the inner pseudoring, a broad oval zone is found that is more of a real bar. This feature fills a well-defined, almost circular, outer ring .
