De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The bar and inner pseudoring are very well-defined in this face-on late-type spiral. The core is very small, and the outer arms are very open and patchy, thus we favor the type Scd. The bar is asymmetric, as is characteristic of late-type barred spirals (de Vaucouleurs and Freeman 1973). The inner pseudoring is of the bracket (NGC 4548 ) type; it is remarkably smooth on one side.
