De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The appearance of the main arms in this galaxy as relatively linear features strongly suggests it is a barred spiral where the bar is highly foreshortened. Only a hint of this bar can actually be seen. The main arms are very well-defined in spite of the high inclination , and there are at least two more secondary arms. An alternative interpretation is that the galaxy has mainly suffered an interaction.
