De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

NGC 2090 has an intensely bright flocculent zone that very much resembles whole other galaxies. By itself, this zone would be classified as SA(s)bc, but in this galaxy the region looks more like an inner pseudoring . The outer arm structure is much larger than this inner zone, and thus it is found where an inner pseudoring might be observed.
