De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

NGC 2835 has a fairly obvious bar; however, this feature is very weak on one side and we use the underline notation to signify this weakness. On the extended side, the bar has a leading dust lane. The inner pseudoring is very well-defined and is an excellent example of such a feature; it is of the type seen in NGC 4548 . Although mostly two-armed in the inner regions, the spiral pattern could be interpreted as being six-armed in the outer regions, with four of those arms well-defined.

NGC 2835 is an excellent example of type Scd in our view. The nucleus is very small, and the spiral arms are very extended and patchy.
