De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The bright inner zone has enhancements near the major axis that are related to both a bar and an inner ring . As seen in NGC 1371 , there are ansae related to a bar that form part of an inner ring as well. Since the ansae are arc-shaped, we classify the variety as (rs). The SAB classification is also based on these ansae and the fact that the inner zone looks more elongated than the outer disk; we suspect the zone is oval. The outer ring appears to be made of spiral structure, but this is clear only on one side. Very weak spiral structure appears also to break from the ring.
