De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:
This well-known pair has strong signs of interaction; several tidally generated features are seen in the Atlas image. The elliptical looks fairly normal, but the spiral is a peculiar early-type with a possible weak bar or oval. The bar-like oval is of the very dusty type. The (s) classification is clear.
