De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

NGC 3319 has a small, faint core, a very well-defined bar, and two strong spiral arms which break perpendicularly from the ends of the bar. As in NGC 7741 , the bar is patchy and affected by recent star formation. There are no leading dust lanes.
