De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The classification for this galaxy is easily discerned in spite of the high inclination . Most interesting is the bright, small bar-like feature in the center. The B-I color index map shows that this feature is defined by active star formation. The color index map reveals the near side extinction and the blue colors of the spiral arms.
