De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The bar and a very low contrast inner ring are the main features detected in the Atlas image. The bar is a strong ansae type, and a very faint disk lies beyond the ring. A large but barely detectable stellar nuclear ring was identified in NGC 4371 by Erwin and Sparke (1999). The S0o classification is based on the well-defined nature of the bar, and the subtle character of the inner ring.
