De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

NGC 4571 , a Virgo Cluster member, is remarkable for having such a well-defined inner ring . Closed inner rings are rare at this stage and later. While the outer disk is very patchy with only ill-defined spiral structure, the ring is thin and appears mainly as an enhancement at the edge of an inner disk zone. The core in this zone is quite bright, but the extreme patchiness favors a late Hubble type.
