De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The inner ring in this unusual galaxy is three quarters complete, but is broken in one quadrant. We use the underline notation to indicate that the ring is fairly well-defined. The Sb classification follows from the patchiness of the arms, their openness, and the relative size of the bulge. The outer disk includes at least three major spiral arms.
