De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

This is a very good Sb system, but the inner ring is weak on one side. Its appearance could be affected by near side extinction, although no clear dust lanes are resolved. The asymmetric appearance of the ring resembles that seen in NGC 7531 , where near side extinction can account for the ring asymmetry .
