De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

The bar of this galaxy is well-defined, but very complex. Numerous stray linear armlets and disorganized dust lanes seem to characterize the feature. Perhaps in the face of this mess, the galaxy managed to produce a luminous Wolf-Rayet knot on the southeast end of the bar (Keel 1987). The two main outer arms look very much like an R1' outer pseudoring that fails to close.
