De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

NGC 5585 appears to have a large, broad oval zone that is bar-like in appearance. Two patchy spiral arms break from this oval zone and form a weak outer pseudoring . There are two star-like objects in the brighter central area and a sharp spiral arc coming from one of them.
