De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

This galaxy is defined mainly by a strong, complex bar and an outer pseudoring that appears to be of type (R1' ). There is only a small nucleus in the bar, which may include some star formation. The Sab classification is due to the smoothness of the outer arms, and the patchiness of the bar and inner arms. There is no trace of an inner ring , hence the (s) classification.
