De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

This very peculiar object has a clear, somewhat foreshortened bar with strong leading dust lanes. The inner arms breaking from this bar are regular and symmetric, but outside this area the galaxy shows complex, asymmetric structure. The galaxy is interacting with its close neighbor, NGC 6215 (Koribalski and Dickey 2004).
