De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

NGC 7213 has a small inner ring surrounded by tightly-wound spiral structure. The envelope has several faint dust features. The galaxy is well-known as a Seyfert 1/LINER, and was recently found to have a peculiar H-alpha filament, indicative of a merger event (Hameed et al. 2001).
