De Vaucouleurs Atlas Description:

This highly inclined object looks like an irregular galaxy but shows some weak spiral features. These features could be largely defined by dust. We suspect a bar, and recognize the weak spiral features with an (s) classification. Sandage and Brucato (1979) placed NGC 625 into the Amorphous irregular class.
