Below each image in the printed version of The de Vaucouleurs Atlas of Galaxies is relevant information on the galaxy and the image itself, as well as a detailed verbal description of the various aspects of morphology. All of this information is reproduced on these webpages below the posted image. The descriptions often include references to published papers in the astronomical literature. The full details of these references are only given in the printed atlas. The posted information should be identical to what is given in the printed atlas, with only minor differences for a few galaxies. In the course of installing the information, a few errors were brought to light. These are given in the errata webpage.
