This website is based on the collective efforts of the members of the Birmingham and Alabama Paleontological Societies in salvaging and documenting trace fossils from the Minkin Paleozoic Footprint Site from 2000-2009.
The website is dedicated to the late Steven C. Minkin (1947-2004), who first proposed documenting the Union Chapel Mine fossils for detailed scientific study.
